Roberto Soldic Vs Lewis Long

Cage Warriors Championship 87 (October 14 2017)

Roberto Soldic Vs Lewis Long

Winner – Roberto Soldic Via Round 1 KO

One of the most promising European Welterweight prospects in the world, Roberto Soldic will be returning to action in the Main Event of KSW 43 this weekend. Although KSW 43 will likely be the most overlooked of the three major MMA events this weekend – UFC Glendale, Bellator 197 and KSW 43 – the matchup between Roberto Soldic and Dricus Du Plessis is a can’t miss.

This fight will be an intriguing battle between opposing strengths, with Soldic boasting a sizeable advantage in the striking department and Plessis holding an advantage in the grappling. Although this fight is being built as a sure thing for Soldic, Plessis is not to be taken lightly. If given the right opening’s Dricus has all the skill’s necessary score an upset win over the Bosnian.

That being said, this matchup will likely be won by the fighter who holds a stronger chance of executing their game plan. After closely watching both men in their last few appearances, I feel that Roberto Soldic will have much greater success imposing his style of fight than Plessis. If Roberto is able to keep the pressure on Plessis and avoid his takedown attempts, he will eventually be able to create an opening for either the left head kick or a clean straight left counter.

Regardless of the outcome this is going to be a fantastic fight and could very well be a watershed moment in the career of one of the sports most exciting young prospects. I cannot wait.
