WSOF 32 (July 30 2016)
Hakeen Dawodu Vs Marat Magomedov 2
Winner – Hakeen Dawodu Via Round 2 TKO
Former WSOF (now PFL) regular Hakeem Dawodu is set to make his UFC debut in London this weekend.
If he is able to execute an impressive performance in this fight, Hakeen Dawodu along with fellow Featherweight Cory Sandhagen will be considered as the divisions brightest young talent.
Dawodu is currently 7-0-1 with all of his fights taking place in WSOF. His extremely smooth and relaxed striking makes him a treat to watch and has aided him in finishing six of his seven wins by KO/TKO. Although his game is far from complete, Hakeen has made tremendous strides in all aspects of his game and is a far more well-rounded fighter than when we first saw him in 2014.
The UFC has by no means given Dawodu an easy debut. He will be facing Scotland native Danny Henry, who made his UFC debut in July of last year with an extremely impressive win over Daniel Teymur. This fight in no way a lock for Dawodu and could potentially spell the first defeat of his career. That being said, it has been exactly a year since Hakeem last competed and it is quite possible that we could see him return looking better than ever.
I am very excited for this fight and glad that we are seeing both Hakeem Dawodu and Danny Henry competing in the UFC. I am sure this will be a can’t miss fight regardless of the outcome.
